Courtney has been practicing with the USA Gymnastics -level 4 team this past year, she didn't compete but learned all the skills and routines. This coming year, they made a new rule at the gym, that you can only practice with the team if you compete. So she won't be practicing with the team again - (if you compete - it is cost a lot more money - and a lot of travel out of town & time for all your weekends from Jan to mid May). The competition season ended mid May and her team (the Opals) and the other teams at Naydenov (the gym) had a big party potluck Mexican dinner and awards night. It was at a Museum with a ton of taxidermy animals. It was a fun night for all and the animals were amazing. Now, that the new season has started, Courtney has switched teams, and is now practicing with a show team at the gym. They do two competitions per year, one in July & one in Dec. They practice 4 hours a week (her old team is practicing 9 hours a week now - so 4 hours is much more doable for me since we live so far out.) Courtney likes the new team, there are about 4 girls her age that are working on the same level as she is and then about 6-7 girls that are older than 12 and at higher levels. She is very excited to compete this July and can do all the level 4 routines that she has been practicing. I haven't got very many pics of her doing gymnastics, but here's a few of her on the beam & pics from the awards party (the kids made me take a bunch of pictures of the animals - they loved them!)

It is fun to see her doing gymnastics. I haven't taken any of Jessica and I really need to.
