The Park

After Courtney's gymnastics meet, we headed for the park. Dayton, Emma, & Melanie had all this energy from standing for four hours, & they needed to run/play it off. The park near the Rose Gardens is one of the kids' favorites. It has this huge play structure. The kids ran around & played. Don ran around with the kids. Earlier that week he had been stung/bitten by a hornet or a wasp. A day later his leg was really red where the hornet had stung/bitten (the doctor thought it was a bite). We weren't sure if it was an infection or if he was having an allergic reaction, but since it wasn't getting better he decided to go to the doctors on Friday. Sure enough it was an infection, so I am glad he didn't wait any longer to go. He stated taking antibiotics, but it takes a while for it to kill the infection, so his leg was really sore & swollen on Saturday, especially because he had to stand on it for four hours & then he ran around with the kids at the park (what a trooper).
