Here's some pictures from Courtney's 9th Birthday. We celebrated at home the night before, and at Grandpa/ma Coates on her actual birthday. She wanted fake puppies (fur-real & a i-dog) - I guess since we sold our real ones (these puppies are much easier to take care of). She also got a palm computer which she just loves to play games on (Don got a really good deal on it). She got a stuffed dog which you put digital pictures on, a Ramona book & a puzzle. Dayton had a really hard time watching her open all of the gifts (as you can tell by some of the photos). He also claimed the dog with the digital pictures. He thought it was his and wanted to keep it for himself. Great Grandma baked two berry pies for Courtney's birthday. She ran out of berries and had to buy some. When she saw her friend she commented that she hoped she would be allowed to come to his home this summer and pick more. He obliged her by giving her three bags full! It was interesting how you could tell the difference between the "store bought" berries and those she had picked fresh. We liked the fresh picked berries best, even though both pies were delicious. We all had a wonderful time celebrating!
