The next day (Sunday), after church we had everyone (grandma/pa coates & far away grandma) for dinner to celebrate Dayton's third birthday. Dayton loves telling and showing everyone how old he is (he has been telling everyone he's three probably for two weeks prior to his birthday). Actually, the word "three" has been his favorite word all week. He got lots of trains, cars, & planes - & a cool "Cars" Remote control car & "Cars" Camping Set (the girls were very excited about the tent too). I tried making a train cake for him to go along with our train theme from yesterday (it had some issues and didn't turn out quite like I had hoped), but everyone could tell what it was. He had a fun birthday and so did everyone else!
