Faraway Grandma (my mom) came to visit us in August. She came up for Dayton's Birthday. She arrived on Wednesday (August 13th) - that day we just hung out at our home. On Thursday, we took the kids to swim lessons & then had a picnic in the park & then went swimming at the Lacamas Swim & Sport. (an inside pool) Don was able to join us - & it was a lot of fun swimming with the whole family - I didn't take any pictures of this though :( -oh well. On Friday, we went to the Beach. It was really warm in Camas the week grandma (mom) came up - around 90 - 100 degrees (can you believe it??), so naturally we thought the beach would be warm too. We went to Long Beach which is the the southwest tip of Washington & boy was it windy & quite nippy. The kids still played in the freezing cold water & the sand. We also drove over to Astoria & saw some light houses on the coast of Oregon & saw an old ship wreck (very cool). We all had fun!!
