The Train Ride - Dayton's B-day Celebration

We've been wanting to take the kids on the train ride through Mt Hood. Don & I went on the train ride before we had kids about 10 yrs ago. We thought it would be a fun thing to do for Dayton's birthday while mom was up visiting with us since she had never been on that train before either. Don's parents joined us too. We went on Saturday, August 16th - it was a smoldering hot 100 degree day. The train has no AC so we sat in the back in the open car to get some air during the ride. It was more fun to ride back there too - since we could get a better view of the mountains as we took the ride through it. There was also a train robbery on board too! On the ride home some bank robbers hitched a ride on the train & stole all of our money. Everyone had a great time :)
