Our visit to the pumpkin patch, in the rain (of course) - Oct. 24

We went to Bizi Farm's Pumpkin Patch with a homeschooling group.... & it rained!! (surprise, surprise!) Actually, we were having beautiful fall weather (no rain) for a couple of weeks & then Don cursed us. He was going to go to the Pumpkin Patch with us & then a few days before we went, he found out that he took an interpreting job at the same time that the field trip was planned, so he wouldn't be able to go. So he said, "Well, I hope it rains that day." & it did. (He said it was only a joke, I said it was a curse). It only rained that day (and it really came down hard)- the rest of the week it wasn't raining at all. So here's some pictures of us enjoying the northwest rain!
The Gang.

Ahhhh - I just love those beautiful, grey, rain clouds!

Taking a break from the rain in the hay loft.

After playing in the hay loft, the kids went out to see/pet the farm animals.

Then after petting the animals, we went for a hay-ride out to the pumpkin patches. Here in the northwest, the hayride wagons are covered of coarse. (I didn't get a picture of it though.)

You guys are sooo cute! You look great Gaylynne. I'm so gald your daughter is feeling better. That really looked like it hurt. I'm glad you guys had so much fun in southern California.

I can't wait until the day where we can join you for a day (or three or four) on vacation. It was so nice to live vicariously for a while, though. Emma is looking great- what a trooper. Give all the kids our love. Don't let them grow up too much more before we see them again!
