Summer just whizzed by & I haven't blogged so I am trying to binge blog today & catch up. In July we were able to go to Utah & go the the Kitchen (my mom's side of the family) Family reunion and spend some days in the SLC with the family and we all had a really enjoyable time. We arrived late Saturday night (June 27th). We wanted to get in earlier, but of course we never get off when we planned. We stayed with Diane (my mom's sister) --thanks for her hospitality in housing ALL of us. Sunday, we went to my Grandpa & Henny's church in Provo and then went to their home and had lunch and visited with them. Then we went to visit my Aunt Heidy (my dad's sister). Then we headed back to Diane's home & Jolene had made us a delicious dinner.... What a great cook she is!!!
Monday (July 29th) we headed out earlier to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was great to be able to take the kids to see the inside of a temple.
It really is amazing how many temples they are building in the valley. There are two temples within the same city limits now. That's wonderful that there is a need for another temple so close by.

After the open house, we went back to Diane's - changed & ate lunch & then headed out to Timp Cave. It is a mile and a half hike up to the cave.... and it was hot!!! (being pregnant - I have become a true northwesterner and the heat really makes me hot). I'm proud of myself for making it up the mountain being so pregnant & so hot --- Dayton held my hand the whole way up & was proud that he helped his mom hike up the mountain. What a trooper he was to hike all the way up without asking to be carried.

That night we came home & cooled off & sat in Diane's jacuzzi - wasn't really hot (more like a luke warm bath) so I was able to sit in it as well.(the kid's played in it) & the kids ran through her sprinklers.
