I should keep track of all the cute little saying that come out of my kid's mouth, but I always forget. (Kudos to Dana who seems to always blog cute saying that her kids say).... Anyway, I told Don a couple of cute things Emma said the other day - he told me to blog it so I wouldn't forget...
Emma & Dayton are playing house. She gives Dayton instructions (I guess this is her view of what a mom & a dad do): "Dayton you go and hunt some deer, & I will dance around the house and get ready."
Emma opening a package of fruit roll ups. She tells me: "The fruit roll ups use to have cartoons on them, now they don't have anything on them. Everything changing. It's 'cuz of Obama." (uhhhh no we don't talk Politics at our house at all - just in case your wondering - LOL)
The next two pictures are for Lori. Do you want to know the real reason why I won the sock folding contest at your baby shower? Here is the reason -this is what I go through weekly as I do laundry - so you can see when I was given the perfect sets with one of each color at your baby shower, why it was so easy for me to win ;)

Oh! My! Goodness! That was the funniest ever! We laughed so hard.
I could just picture Don with his plaid jacket and hunter's cap with the ear flaps ... and you dancing from room to room.
Thanks for the laughs!!!
LOL! How cute! I just know how you like to put on your ballerina outfit and dance through the house....just admit it!!!
Fun to catch up on you blogging! You guys are BUSY! Good luck selling your home. Before it sells, we want to come....so make sure to have a couple weeks closing or something...
That's hilarious!
We have the same sock issue with a clothes basket full of them, they are one of my least favorite things to waist my time on. I decided to start turning them the right side out and I pair them together if the match is close by. I make my kids find their own socks in the basket. Nate said the funniest thing the other day and it was the same thing, I forgot to write it down so I don't remember. I love how the kids said Obama changed it.
WOW! Seeing that pile of socks makes me want to dedicate myself to buying all the same brand of white socks. Would that work? I believe, though, somehow I'd always end up with one leftover.
The nature of the beast.
And Emma's comment in playing house is too funny!
I'd love to post more, but I need to get back to dancing before Matthew comes home with an animal he's shot.
Gaylynne your sock issue made me laugh maybe it is every mother's frustration! I tell you I could write a book on everything I've tried to keep the socks organized. From big safety pins to pin the socks together with different colored yarn attached for each child, to marking with marker a stripe for the oldest and two stripes for the 2nd oldest etc, to sock bags and each child has their own color mesh sock bag that they are suppose to throw their socks in so that they will all wash and dry together and not get mixed up with each other. But just today I hear Tara telling Alyssa that she is always stealing her socks!
