Don's starting a knife & gun collection:
His new Chef Knife (gift from one of his clients) for cooking (a WÜSTHOF - for all you cook connoisseurs) - he loves it!!!
New Rifle for hunting - a 22Don was able to shoot a deer this year -right in our yard - the deer was probably eating our Arborvitae trees - they have destroyed all of our trees this year :(
He thought I would get grossed out or something from him hunting & killing the deer - It really doesn't bother me, as long as I don't have to clean it. He learned all about cleaning and butchering it at the culinary school last year. He made sausage & hamburger & all had several different cuts of meat from the deer. About 50 lbs total - so we are really stocked up on meat now. The kids all were excited when Don told them about it (no vegetarians in our family) and we all liked the taste of it, -really it doesn't taste too much different than beef.
