Here are some of the pictures I took while we were in San Antonio. Many times we tell people (from up here in the Portland,OR area--) that we are going to Texas, they tell us -- "Oh it's so hot, flat, brown, & dry down there." Obviously they must mean a different part of Texas-- it is not in the area we are moving to. There were big trees & green plants everywhere. We thought it was so beautiful down there & there was SUN!!!! When we went down in May -- the weather was perfect -- 79-80ish degrees. I guess there was humidity too, but we really didn't notice it - since our area has humidity too - it didn't bother us at all. We are told July & Aug down there are hot, but we are willing to trade 8-9 months of cloudy skies & drizzly rain for 2 months of hot sun-- we'll enjoy the other 8 months instead of being cooped up indoors.

As for the green, I've found that people have all sorts of ideas about where you live that are untrue, especially if they don't think they'd like it themselves. :)
It looks pretty nice to me.
