Summer Pony Party

These are pictures from the Summer Party that we had in July. We had a great time - lots of kids, lots of sun, lots of fun!

Wheel barrow races.

Cooling off with the hose -- it was actually a hot day!

The gang playing "Simon Says" or "Green Light/Red Light" - while patiently waiting to get their turn on the horse.

We got a pinyata (however it is spelled?)-- but it's not like one from the good ol' days-- this one the kids pull the string & whoever pulls the lucky string causes the candy to come out. We missed the good ol' days when you got to whack the heck out of it.

They pulled the lucky string -- and all the candy came tumbling out -- not quite as thrilling as busting it up.

Courtney was one of the first to ride the pony!

Melanie enjoying her ride. What fun!

Abby was a pro!

Emma wanted Grandma Coates to walk next to her while she rode.

Dayton, didn't like being on the horse at all.

Emma told Tracy (the horse lady) - she just wanted a "widdo" (little) ride, but after riding a bit, she loved it & wanted a longer ride.

Melanie getting ready for her ride.

Courtney riding the pony.

Don & Dayton (he was glad to be off the pony).

Great Grandma Coates & Dayton

Courtney & some of her friends (l to r: Summer, Leia, Hannah)

Katie & Cameron (& Michael in the background) -just taking it easy.

I know I said this before, but I can't believe how big Dayton is. Are all those kids from your neighborhood, ward, ?/or school? Looks like fun!

These are wonderful photos. Thank you so much for sharing. I am curious about how long it took to get them loaded. I spent 3 hours with my blog yesterday. It took a full 30 seconds for each and every action. To delete a line...30 seconds. To make a correction for spelling...30 seconds. That plus the amount of time it took to load the photos individually just really frustrated me.
